The first-hour assessment

What happens between a Lead arriving and a person reaching them? Eight questions, no email, nothing leaves your browser.

1 Ownership

Within the first hour, does every new Lead have one named owner, visible to the owner and the manager?

2 The clock

Is there a clock on the first contact, set per lead source, that the owner can see counting down?

3 After hours

Does the clock follow a business calendar, and is there a rule for Leads that arrive at night or on weekends?

4 Eligibility

Is licensing or state checked before a Lead is offered, so an ineligible person never sees it?

5 Consent

Can the owner see consent and opt-out status on the Lead before sending the first message?

6 The unaccepted Lead

If the owner does not accept or act inside the clock, does the Lead go to the next person or the queue automatically?

7 The first message

Can the first text or email be drafted from the record, with the Lead’s details and the owner’s voice, in one step?

8 Measurement

Do you report speed to lead and first-hour contact rate by source, from the system, without a spreadsheet?

An operations aid, not legal or compliance advice. We do not publish speed-to-lead benchmarks; your own baseline is the one that matters. Your answers stay in your browser.

About the assessment

Why the first hour?

Because it is where ownership, eligibility, consent and the clock either exist or do not. Everything later depends on it. We do not publish a benchmark for how fast is fast enough; that depends on your source and your capacity.

Does this send my answers anywhere?

No. The assessment runs in your browser and no email is required.

Is this legal advice?

No. It is an operations aid. Consent and contact rules are your compliance team’s to set.

What do I do with the result?

Take the two lowest answers to your next team meeting, or bring them to a workflow consultation and we will map them against your systems.
